House of Hope exists as a bridge to the world of work for individuals with special needs (aged 18+). With the support of Blessindo Harapan Mandiri Foundation, we empower them to explore their potential and thrive in the workplace.

*Special needs individuals includes people with neurodevelopmental disorders. The term of special needs refers to individuals who need assistance for medical, mental, or psychological disabilities.

Common disabilities that are associated with special needs are:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Down Syndrome (DS)
  • Cerebral Palsy (CP)
  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  • Mild Intellectual Disability (MID)
  • Epilepsy

Our founder, Irene Ridjab, starts to build a social enterprise in Indonesia, under the brand name of Zoleka.

Zoleka dedicates itself to empower the marginalized communities, such as children with special needs and prisoners.

Yayasan Blessindo Harapan Mandiri is established to focus on the underprivileged and marginalized community.

STAGE 1: Probation

An evaluation to assess the basic skills of individuals with special needs, under the guidance of a registered academic partner.

STAGE 1.2: PIP*

If there is a need to extend the probation period, individuals with special needs will be included in the PIP program for a maximum of 3 months.

STAGE 2: Permanent

An evaluation to assess the behavior and professionalism of individuals with special needs through varied and tailored trainings.

They are unable to remain at House of Hope. However, their application could be reconsidered if there are still openings available in the future.

A real-world exposure related to their field of interest.

FUTURE STAGE A: Talent Acquisition

In this stage, the relevant partners determine all arrangements, and take full responsibility for the individuals with special needs.

FUTURE STAGE B: Part-Time Internship

Individuals with special needs receive advanced training at partner’s or House of Hope’s location, and they are under the responsibility of House of Hope and related partners.
